After 8+ years as Canvas Admin for Western Washington University, I’ve introduced hundreds of faculty, most with little or no experience with Instructure’s LMS, to their online course. It’s impossible to help a newcomer become an expert in their Canvas course in a one-hour consult, but I’ve found ways to provide a solid overview of course components in that first visit which helps them get comfortable with developing their course content.
Continuing the Back to Basics series, I wanted to share with this one-take video a couple of ways you can approach your Files and Syllabus navigation menu that might help streamline or optimize how course content is presented for your students.
